Y SIN EMBARGO magazine

Avatares de la vida. Ninots de UU, Miguel Ruibal, fernandoprats, Nirvana SQ, Leonie Polah, Brancolina, Thomas Hagström, Anna Christina, Thierry Tillier, Ezequiel Ruiz

Seven years of a periodical and independent publication is perhaps both necessary and long enough a time to verify or put into practice a set of ideas, wishes and adventures. YSE closes a cycle, but doesn’t close (neither literally nor metaforically). Seguiremos, pero seremos otros.

On air: YSE #29, LAST/s.

They say, “you can’t see the forest for the trees”. But some days, they are all we want to see.

fot 2
Heaven isn’t always up.
It’s underfoot, decomposing, deconstructing, rebuilding, renewing, regenerating.
So walking on clouds may be more than a metaphor.

fot 3
Art isn’t only the last frontier. It is all we have left.
A city, a nation, a continent, a planet of melancholy desire.
The abstract has become the only thing that is tangible.

fot 4
We, in a sea of me’s of mine
of gold mines
coal mines
land mines
mine mine
We can’t stop holding hands

fot 5
this is the way we remember our dreams
choppy still frames
hesitating just a second too long
so long, we forgot what we were looking at

fot 6
And if it all really has to end, let us remember this:
something was created out of nothing.
from the negative space of our own interiors
came the representation of a beauty that is larger than life.
