Sarah Van Marcke studied photography at the Higher Institute Sint Lukas in Brussels and lives for the moment in Antwerp.
In her photographic and video work, Sarah explores the relationship between architecture and the human body, bringing about a reflective world.
Being transformed into two-dimensional images and serving as backdrops, existing urban or architectural sites seem to have lost both reality and functionality.
Hence landscapes look like models in miniature, to which objects or bodies have been added as hidden or conspicuous sculptures.
