Y SIN EMBARGO magazine

Como los pequeños estafadores, aquellos que no constan en ninguna reseña… ¿Estoy “timando” cuando muestro? Porque… ¿Qué parte es la que muestro? ¿La que quiero? ¿La que decide por mí, mi ego? ¿La que amo? ¿Puede “amarse” una parte de “uno”? La otredad como licencia, expedida por ningún organismo pero ¡tan viva! Apostillada, claro, para beneplácito de los “manjapapeles” apócrifos que, sin embargo, deciden (incluso), sobre nuestra identidad y la de nuestras otredades.

Soy íntimo, con canas como las del señor que insiste con la práctica “dextergordoniana” de una melodía de “beautiful days” llamándonos, instándome a acudir a una cita que siempre ha sido una batalla de pseudónimos escogidos en particulares arrebatos circunstanciales por los que difícilmente pueda sentirme aludido, hoy.

¿Soy éste, aquel o algún otro? ¿Qué importancia puede tener frente a un test de improbables vidas pasadas que, como casi todo, flameará apenas unos días antes de extinguirse sin testamento ni herencia.

Desenfunda el atril y me da miedo. Pánico no, miedo.
Si decido mostrar(me), que sea improvisadamente, y por pedir, que sea a lo Parker, pero el alma, los dedos, lo que queda de cabeza, chapotean, van a su aire y es un aire cansino e indisciplinado, cargado de nubes que van -desgarbadas-, y vuelven.

Busco en un cajón. En otro. “Remeno”. ¡Oh! Carnada para pájaros. Ornithology.

Just like small swindlers, those not listed in any account… Am I “cheating” when I show? Because… what part is it that I am showing? The one I want? The one that decides for me, my ego? The one I love? Can one “love” a part of “oneself”? Otherness as a license, issued by no institution but so alive! Annotated, of course, for the approval of the apocryphal “paper-eaters” who, nevertheless, decide (even) on our identity and that of our othernesses.

I’m intimate, with white hairs like those of the gentleman insisting with the “dextergordonian” practice of a “beautiful days” melody calling us, urging me to attend an appointment that has always been a battle of nicknames chosen in particular circumstantial outbursts by which I can hardly feel addressed today.

Am I this one, that one, or any other? What importance can it have when facing a test about improbable past lives that, as almost anything, will blaze just a few days before vanishing without a will or a heritage?

Draw the lectern and I fear. Not panic, fear. If I decide to show (myself), let it be improvised, and, while we’re asking, let it be Parker-like, but the soul, the fingers, what is left of the head splash about, follow their own air and it’s a weary, undisciplined air, heavy with clouds that go –ungracefully- and come back.

I search in a drawer. In another. I rummage. Oh! Bait for birds. Ornithology.
