Cuando en los Grundrisse de Marx se cultiva el estudio con miras al futuro del completo desarrollo del capitalismo, bajo la íntegra idea de automatizar los principios productivos, se lanza la problemática de la actualidad de su cuerpo de ideas: el capitalismo, por medio de un persistente movimiento tecnológico, evoluciona indefectiblemente hacia su particular suspensión.

Es en este trabajo, todavía bastante ignorado, donde Marx perfila sintéticamente el efecto del crecimiento tardío del capitalismo que sólo es asignable al estadio de capital íntegro que únicamente se llevará a cabo a finales del siglo XX

El shock de estas afirmaciones advierte de lo desangelado de cualquier comentario, excepto tratar con antelación la tesis por la que se inclina: la regla del valor ya no gobierna, en el sistema automático y productivo. A partir de ahí, el análisis del ciclo productivo actual es manifestado hace más de cien años con una especial transparencia, impensable para la mayoría de expertos hoy día. Marx ha visto la robótica presente de la industria toyotista. Pero hay que colaborar un poco más con el razonamiento.

Lo decisivo en esta pequeñez del trabajador está arraigado en que “el trabajo inmediato cesa de ser, en cuanto tal, base de la producción, por un lado porque se transforma en una actividad más vigilante y reguladora, paro también porque el producto deja de ser producto del trabajo inmediato, y más bien es la combinación de la actividad social la que se presenta como la productora”

Penetramos ya en el punto de inflexión. El despliegue anterior no implica que el acto de subsumir en la zona social del capital sea la más conveniente y la más óptima conexión de producción para el uso de la maquinaria, sino que el capital evoluciona indefectiblemente hacia su particular suspensión.

El motivo radica en que “el capital mismo es la contradicción en proceso, ya que tiende a reducir a un mínimo el tiempo de trabajo, mientras que por otra parte pone al tiempo de trabajo como única medida y fuente de la riqueza”. Reduce, por lo tanto, el número de horas de trabajo en la apariencia de tiempo laboral básico, para incrementarlo en la forma del trabajo sobrante; establece la ocupación retribuida desbordada como premisa del requerido. Así mismo brinda a la vida todo el potencial de la ciencia, de la colaboración y el intercambio sociales, para conseguir que la elaboración de bienes sea independiente de la cantidad de trabajo utilizado en ella. Igualmente se decide medir con el tiempo de trabajo esas desaforadas resistencias sociales originadas de esta suerte y ceñirlas a las pautas necesarias para que se conserve el valor ya obtenido.

El centro discordante llegua aquí a su cota más elevada, puesto que se insiste en que la pobreza funciona como base a partir de la cual se erige la riqueza una vez que se establece el tiempo de trabajo como medida de la misma. Por añadidura, la tecnología obliga al trabajador a una participación más exhaustiva en constantes de tiempo o a quedar relegados a una categoría de funcionamiento efectiva en maquinaria más elemental, haciendo evidente, según lo anterior que, para el capital, la finalidad productiva deteriora los medios empleados, provocando de esta manera una explosión de principios que amenazaría con una venidera disolución de estructuras.

La automatización originará una diferencia terrorífica entre las oportunidades de placer abiertas y la suciedad de la atadura y pertenencia al capital. Tal es la contradicción entre el crecimiento de los movimientos productivos y las interacciones de producción, que ésta se volverá más impresionante que nunca, y deshonestamente recibida por una mayoría de tal impacto, que el hecho de admitirla y la fuerza de oposición sostendrán su imparable caída.
El contraste con nuestra imagen se hace inexorable. Puesto que nuestra trayectoria empírica camina en dirección contraria. Como consecuencia de una elaborada órbita de causas, la sumisión al artefacto de aprehensión del trabajo remunerado es, en la fase de la tecnología, menos sospechada que nunca para las propias víctimas de tal sumisión. Se podría decir que los cauces de nuestra esclavitud se han vuelto poco nítidos. Exceptuando a una insuficiente minoría, la nuestra es la era del sometimiento inapreciable.

The imperceptible and the end of the utopia

When Marx’s Grundrisse cultivate study towards the future of the complex development of capitalism, under the whole idea of automatizing the productive principles, the problem of the validity of his body of ideas: capitalism, through a persistent technological movement, unfailingly evolves towards its particular suspension.
It is in this still rather unknown work that Marx synthetically outlines the effect of late growth of capitalism, which is only attributable to the stage of full capital that will only be carried out in the late 20th century.
The shock in this statements warns of the dullness of any comment, except an anticipated treatment of the thesis it leans towards: the rule of value does not rule the automatic productive system anymore. From here, the analysis of the current productive cycle is manifested more than a hundred years ago with particular transparency, nowadays inconceivable for most experts. Marx has seen the present robotics of the toyotist industry. But we need to collaborate with this reasoning a bit further.
The decisive in this worker’s insignificance is rooted in the fact that “immediate work as such stops being the base for production, on one hand because it is turned into a more vigilant and regulatory activity, but also because the product is no longer the result of immediate work, and it is the combination of social activity which is presented as the productor.
We are already reaching the turning point. The former display does not imply that the act of subsuming in the social zone of capital is the most convenient and optimal production connection for the use of machinery, but that capital evolves unfailingly towards its particular suspension.
The cause lies in the fact that “capital itself is contradiction in process, since it tends towards reducing working time to a minimum, while on the other hand places working time as the one and only measure and source of wealth.” It therefore reduces the number of working hours under the appearance of basic working time, only to increase it as surplus work; it establishes paid activity overflow as required assumption. Likewise, it offers life all the potential of social science, collaboration and interchange, to achieve a production of goods that is independent of the amount of work invested. It also decides to measure in working time those wild social resistances thus originated and limit them to the required rules to keep the already obtained value.
The discordant centre reaches here its highest point, since poverty is insisted to work as a base upon which wealth erects itself, once working time is established as its measure. In addition, technology forces the worker to a more exhaustive participation in terms of time or else being relegated to an effective category of function in a more elementary machinery, making it clear that, for the capital, productive purposes deteriorate the employed means, thus causing an explosion of principles that would threaten with a future dissolution of structures.
Automation will originate a horrific difference between open pleasure opportunities and the dirt of capital hindrance and belonging. Such is the contradiction between growth of productive movements and production interaction, that this will become as striking as ever, and will be dishonestly received by a majority with such impact that the fact of admitting it, and the strength of its opposition will support its unstoppable fall.

The contrast with our image is inexorable, since our empirical trajectory follows the opposite direction. As a consequence of an elaborate orbit of causes, submission to the apprehension artifact of remunerated work is, in the stage of technology, as unsuspected as ever for the very victims of such submission. It could be said that the course of our slavery have become blurred. Except for an insufficient minority, ours is the era of negligible submission.
